What is Big Air?

Big Air Trampoline & Adventure Parks are family entertainment facilities featuring primarily trampoline attractions. The parks range in size from 15,000 to 35,000 square feet. The attractions at Big Air include the standard trampoline park options-a main trampoline court, foam pit, dodgeball courts), and basketball dunk courts. In addition, Big Air also offers a climbing wall over a foam pit, mechanical bull, and industry-exclusive Battlebeam®.

Our in-park operation is built upon the 30 years of operational waterpark experience from several former management staff from one of the most profitable waterparks in the United States. Safety protocol, customer service, group sales, birthday management, etc. are all modeled after the operation we built there and have applied in innovative ways to the trampoline space.

We generate our revenue from three primary sources: general admission, birthdays and other group sales. General admission guests book jump sessions by the hour, with all subsequent sessions booked after the first hour being 50%-off to incentivize extending the length of stay. In addition to ticket sales, we also generate revenue through our in-park concessions and Big Air apparel.

The big air story

After 27 years operating Wild Rivers, one of the most successful water parks in the country, we had some fun choices.

Initially, our group was interested in building and acquiring waterparks across the western U.S. So when we acquired a waterpark with some extra indoor space, we explored options to generate revenue year-round.

Ultimately, we settled on building an indoor trampoline park, SkyTown. Shortly thereafter, we built the first Big Air in Laguna Hills, California. Our success in Laguna Hills shifted our attention from waterparks to trampoline parks. We now have three locations in Southern California and a nationwide franchise offering.

What are the financial requirements to open a Big Air?

What type of financing options are there?

SBA Financing, traditional bank financing, personal funding, private financing are all effective methods when starting up your own Big Air location. Big Air does not finance new franchise owners but does have many industry connections that can simplify the financing process.

How does the Franchise approval process work?

To start you on your Franchising journey with Big Air, our Franchise Disclosure Documents will be provided for full review and evaluation to help you better understand what Big Air represents and our general operations. You will also be designated an experienced Development Partner to guide you during the process of addressing your questions, speaking directly with established Big Air Franchisees and collaborating on your preferred Big Air territory. What is the time frame to open a Big Air location once the Franchise Agreement has been signed?

Our Franchise Disclosure Document states that it is preferable to have a location operating within 12 months from the initial signing. We are proud of our excellent track record that includes some units operating within only a few months of signing and we do our best to accommodate the unique timing of each individual Franchisee.
